Valdosta State University's mission as a regional university is to provide an educational environment that fosters the individual student, while providing the best of instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Located in south Georgia, VSU's 500 faculty members furnish a diverse and comprehensive curriculum in the humanities, education, nursing, sciences, business and the arts to a campus student body of 9,800 representing 48 states and 50 countries. Distance learning classes enhance the ability of the University to offer off-campus classes. Throughout the University, students are encouraged to attain technological competence and computer literacy, which are vital for achievement today.

The Langdale College of Business Administration offers undergraduate business majors in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management and Marketing and offers part-time MBA programs to aid students wishing to pursue an advanced business degree without interrupting their careers. All Langdale College MBA classes are taught by highly-qualified full-time faculty, and the programs are accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The Langdale College offers an on-campus, evening MBA program and offers the WebMBA program as a member of the Georgia WebMBA Program consortium. In addition to the degree programs, the Langdale College supports the business community with training and research through the Sough Georgia Institute and with consulting services through the Small Business Development Center.
